Dr. Nicole Griffin, NCC, CPC, RYT

Dr. Nicole Griffin, NCC, CPC, RYT is a certified school counselor, counselor educator, and certified professional coach in her local community. With over 20 years of counseling related experience, Dr. Griffin's passion for promoting individual wellness can be evidenced throughout her career in her work with children, families, and aspiring counselors. In her role as a coach, she incorporates a wellness oriented approach to helping others, emphasizing an understanding of the role of positivity and cultural influences and healing practices in responding to self discovery, human development, and lifestyle adjustment.

Her experience in the field includes: individual life/behavioral coaching services, school/community counseling with brief therapy approaches, teaching Character Education and counseling related topics to elementary students, teachers, and select parent groups; serving as a professor since 2015; instructing school counselor training courses; providing supervision to school and clinical mental health counseling interns for CACREP related programs. Dr. Griffin is also a registered yoga teacher who uses the science of yoga in her work with clients. students, and within her community.

Nicole previously held a position as an Medicaid Specialist with the Department of Children and Families. Additionally, she has been an integral part of her school's MTSS process, serving as the 504 coordinator, the PBS Team leader, a member of the school based team, the school leadership team, as well as providing observational data for the development of individual student IEPs.
